Description: This course provides an introduction to methods for representing  continuous and discrete time signals in time and frequency domains and the analysis of systems using Laplace, Fourier and Z-transformations. The concepts of causal and stable systems, system impulse response and transfer functions are developed to enable system identification and characterization. Applications to communication and control systems are discussed. Prerequisites: Circuit Theory II (16.202) and Engineering Differential Equations (92.234/236).  SYLLABUS (pdf)
